The ground-water site inventory consists of ab records of wells, springs, test holes, tunnels,drains, and excavations in Nevada. Available site descriptive information includes well location information (latitude and longitude, well depth, site use, water use, and aquifer). The Las Vegas Valley Water District actively monitors for lead and copper in the drinking water supply. The Environmental Protection Agency has set an “action level” for lead at 15 ppb, meaning that if lead is detected at 15 parts per billion or more in a water supply, action needs to be taken.
